This is a bag made from quite heavyweight canvas material which is quite reminiscent of the old canvas duffle bags. It has a large main pocket with two small basic pockets and a larger zip pocket inside the lining. At each end of the bag is a pocket with a metal popper closure. There are two handles on the sides and a shoulder strap which is provided though not fitted. It is easy to fit with metal hook and catch clasps. The trimming is made of leather with various metal poppers and fixtures. The straps are made from a heavy webbing with the side handles having leather trim on them.
These is an exceptionally well made bag with several rows of neat stitching fixing everything together. This is not a bag that is going to come apart in a hurry. The materials & fixtures are all quite heavy duty and give the impression that the whole bag was designed for long term use and wear.
As there are several bags available on this page I suggest you double check the dimensions of the bag you are choosing. This is the small bag and I would suggest that it was perfect as a sports bag or an overnight bag.
This bag states that it is dry clean only. However, I don’t think anyone expects this type of bag to be machine washable.
This bag is quite comfortable to carry using either the handles or the strap. When carrying using the handles, they lie in your hand with the leather giving some protection from the webbing and making it more comfortable. The shoulder strap is plain webbing and although reasonably wide it does start to dig in after a while. A bit of padding wouldn’t have gone amiss on the shoulder strap.
This is a well made, multi purpose bag which I can see lasting for quite some time. It does have a certain “outdoor look” style about it but I wouldn’t term it as fashionable.

Gootium 30317AMG High Density Washed Canvas Leather Travel Duffle (Army Green)
The Gootium 30317 canvas bag arrived promptly and was protected by a transparent plastic bag. I ordered the black bag which has a brown leather trim and I have to say that I am loving the black and brown combo. The full range of colours available are as follows: –
– Army Green
– Khaki
– Black
– Beige
– Green
The lighter colours are also very appealing and I am particularly fond of the Khaki colour. You just have to be careful not to get it too dirty. But you can always wash the bag, but only at low temperatures, and not in the machine.
Each bag is available in selected sizes i.e. either small, medium or large. My video shows me demonstrating the small black bag. The bag is made from a thick washed cotton canvas material that feels very strong and durable.
You can carry it using the handles or alternatively you can use the long thick strap over your shoulder. The dimensions of the bags are: –
Small: 44cm(L)x27cm(W)x27cm(H)
Medium: 44cm(L)x18cm(W)x32cm(H)
Large: 50cm(L)x30cm(W)x30cm(H)
It has 2 external side pockets and a zipped compartment inside to carry small items such as phones and keys.
I think the smaller size bag is ideal for a trip to the gym or an overnight stay somewhere. The medium and large size bags would probably be more suited to a longer trip.
The stitching on this duffle bag is very neat and the workmanship is to a high quality. This is a unisex bag which can even be used by children on camping trips. It’s obviously not waterproof, so it would be prudent to secure clothing in plastic bags if you are using it outdoors on rainy days.
