    We were forced into buying this luggage as FlyBe cabin luggage restrictions are different (narrower bag – 35 cms) than most other airlines, so we didn’t want to risk taking our IT bags (40 cms wide) as FlyBe charge £50 per bag if you turn up at the airport and your bags don’t fit their cabin luggage specifications and have to be checked in as hold luggage. (Plenty of other people boarded our flight with over sized luggage – so take the risk if you wish).

    These bags are advertised as being 1.5 Kgs. When the bags arrived I thought they felt heavier than our IT bags. The actual label on the bags state 1.8 Kgs. They actually weigh 2 Kgs. I complained to Karabar about this who stated they were aware of the problem and were in the process of changing their advertising to reflect the true weight of the bag. At the time of writing it still states 1.5 Kgs.

    Also being physically smaller than our IT luggage, Karabar state their bags hold more – 40 litre vs 37 litre. I’m not sure how this is physically possible??

    If you are not restricted by size I would definitely recommend investing a few more pounds in IT luggage. IT is far superior in terms of build quality and strength.

    If you are restricted by size then for what they cost I guess the Karabar bags are ok, but I would not expect them to last too many trips.

    it is ok, as there was no room in overhead lockers my bag was taken with other luggage and damage by rubbing on the conveyor line, so material was no so hard wear.
