Directions for setting your own combination:
1. Pull up the shackle to open the lock (a).
2. Rotate the shackle 90° counter clockwise and press shackle into the hole. Hold down and continue to turn another 90° counter clockwise.
3. Set your own combination by turning dials.
4. Turn the shackle back as normal (c). Then the setting is completed.

To reset a new combination, please repeat step 1 to 4 above.

    I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but for these I will make an exception. I have previously had 2 similar 3 dial locks which are still working well. I liked them so much I bought myself these 4 dial and gave my 3 dial to my mum. Out of the 4 that I have only one is still working. The other 3 are no longer responding to the combination I put in. Luckily they ‘dropped’ the combination whilst sitting attached to the zip of my suitcases whilst in storage, rather than when pad locking my suitcase closed. Annoyingly I have to either leave 3 cumbersome locks on my suitcases of buy a good hacksaw to remove them. I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere.

    I’ve used many padlocks over the years, and this is probably the best. I like that even on the correct combination, you have to physically pull the lock open, so it won’t open if someone is just randomly spinning the numbers fast trying different combos.
